It has also been reported that vandalism and arson occurred at the Annapurna Post office building in Tinkune, as well as an attack on News 24’s vehicle in Maharajgunj, with live devices and cameras stolen.

Additionally, vandalism has been recorded at the Public Service Broadcasting office in Singha Durbar, the Radio Jagran building in Butwal, and various other locations, including the Press Center’s office building in Babarmahal, where there have been stone-pelting incidents and arson attacks.

According to KMG’s social media updates, an arson attack damaged its servers, forcing a temporary halt in television broadcasting and compelling journalists to flee for safety. Other media outlets’ work has also been impacted, according to their reports. The Kathmandu Post editorial stated: “Kantipur’s building was attacked today and set on fire. Our servers are down, so we are sharing all reporting and updates on social media platforms. Thank you for supporting our work.”

Media Action Nepal reiterates its call for protestors to refrain from targeting media outlets, while fully acknowledging their right to protest peacefully and voice their demands.
